I’m looking for the “Connect” settings to connect a new v0 workspace and chat to Vercel. The project settings refer me to the individual chat page, and although sometimes I see the left menu quickly flash (with the Connect button in it), it disappears equally fast. I have connected to Vercel successfully before, but somehow I no longer can.
Hey, Dries! Welcome to the Vercel Community ![]()
If you click onto a chat, can you publish? See:
This is how you can connect to / publish to Vercel.
If the menu is flashing quickly and disappearing, this might be a UI issue. Try:
- Refreshing the page
- Clearing your browser cache
- Using a different browser
Thank you Pauline. No, there’s no Publish button. I’ve also tested in a new browser.
Summary: if you use a v0 workspace to work on a repository on Github, how do you create a new chat in that workspace that is also connected to Github?
To reproduce:
- Work in a chat in a workspace, successfully connected to Github
- The chat gets too long, therefore I want to start a new chat to continue working
- Note: last week, the chat itself suggested to “Start a new chat for better results” (in light orange text under the chat window). I’ve never seen that suggestion again.
- Use the left menu to select the workspace you we’re active in
- Begin a new chat in that workspace (or alternatively: begin an entirely new workspace and attempt to connect to Github)
- Problem: no indication of connect buttons, no Github icon, no left menu with chat / design / connect / etc…
Screenshots to illustrate:
Here is my workspace, successfully connected to Github, with a Publish button, icon and left menu:
In a new chat (in the same workspace) no connect options at all:
I must be overlooking something, all suggestions are more than welcome. Maybe it’s a UI issue where connections and Publish buttons aren’t displayed in new chats?
