How to contribute to the Vercel Community

Excited to share this! We’ve put together a simple guide on how to contribute to the Vercel Community whether you’re sharing a project, helping others, writing tutorials, or hosting meetups.

Community is stronger when everyone feels empowered to participate, and this guide is here to make that easier.

If you’ve been looking for a place to start, here it is:

What are your favourite ways of getting involved in community spaces?

My favorite way to getting involved in the community is help other in the difficulties they are facing and sharing the things I am building as well.

Is this your first time in community spaces, Sean? What would you like to see more of in our space?

Hej @pawlean
Outside of the Discord communities I am part of for similar tech software and all, I would say yes this is my first time in a discourse community. Which I have to say I like more (here) as it feels more filtered and “to the point”. More professional all around tbh. I feel like the topics and discussions here are VERY valuable (for the most part of course).

But as far as things I would like to see…..hmmmm……
I cant say anything in particular tbh, but if I had to give some just rough ideas off the top of my head I would then say:

  • Maybe some like design / product design centric topics (and maybe I am biased since I am a Product Designer) like:
  • Some like concept exploration areas or like interesting use cases. Like how do v0 users here push v0 into giving you non-obvious UI patterns?
  • Sharing the most effective prompt for making components (large and small) feel handcrafted rather than generic.
  • How do users get v0 into a more structural thinking (more so than it may already do out of the box…which I have to say it does VERY well already). So like information architecture, flows, and states, rather than just layouts?”
  • Maybe some tips and tricks like: What constraints do users give v0 to unlock their most elegant outcomes?

- Maybe some like engineering and workflow usage topics. Like “Where does v0 fit in your build pipeline today, and what stops it from going deeper?”

- But I think MOST of all, I would LOOOOOVE to see more behind the scenes things from the v0 design team (again I know this may be a biased ask haha). But like how the v0 prod team uses v0 to do their designs of v0 and all. I have seen some BTS stuff from Pranathi (ps I am OBSESSED with her work), but am ALWAYS searching for more BTS ways of working by the pros there who use it for their own flows. So understanding best use cases, where in workflow it fits, etc.

Ok so maybe there were some things on my mind haha. But in general, I am liking it all and I can only see it getting better and better. So i am stoked to ride along and be here for it all.

sure, i will always be around. I have applied for the possibility of hosting a meetup with my local community around v0 to build awareness and adoption around the ecosystem.
