Vercel is actually an application that was and is being vibe coded itself and that is why it changes on a daily. I mean, I log on one day and then the next day the thing looks and operates completely different. This could only happen in an environment like V0. I also believe shrinkflation is being used when it comes to the AI. One small task now consumes a ton of AI usage and completes nothing. Almost like the AI is being provided at a lower model. One extremely simple task cannot be completed without messing up the entire project you created. You tell it to please capitalize the V in vercel on the main page, and then the entire thing ends up being non-functional. Hopefully, you forked, because if you didn’t, you’re screwed since going back to prior versions doesn’t work anymore, and will give you a runtime error… All this, while using up the credits that you paid for. Let me know if you agree, disagree, and have any suggestions or recommendations on similar products. I LOVE this product, but dang… What is happening??? V0, step in here. Help me. Prove me wrong! I have created help tickets and never got a reply. Why am I having to post on a community chat group to get help?
I think you hit the nail on the head. I feel so similar to you.
I loved v0 because it’s so easy to just get going, is just a great visual designer and I can easily switch devices and quick preview.
Cursor if you tell it to use Shadcn and Tailwind does 95% as good a job at the design and ironically it does everything else 10x better anyway (and cheaper with model choice and additional controls). Just a bit fiddly the first time, but overall it’s where we are moving all our projects after the latest changes.
Pricing was a hit, then forced agentic was such a hit, and now no preview and broken projects it’s just getting too unreliable to move forward with.

In more realistic terms, my guess is that they were spun out of Vercel, but were bleeding money and got told a few months ago enough is enough we are going to kill the project. They have then spent the last few months basically trying to short users, or get them to stop using it on purpose to shift the revenue model. The thing is, if they communicated this, people could understand, support changes, make suggestions on how to improve - but instead they have tried to pitch us that everything is for our own good, even pricing was described as being ‘good for us’ when it more than 10xed a lot of peoples costs. That dishonesty and treating people like idiots just loses trust.
Yes, I agree. Cancel v0 and try competitors, they are all doing better now. For me it looked like they didn’t do enough testing and that´s what they get. Even Bolt with the 200€ plan got me through the month with credits. But when I used v0, I needed 500€ worth of credits, that’s a shame
Thank you for the recommendations, I will give them a try! Although, my hope is still for v0 to address these issues.
I don’t know if v0 is vibe-coded itself, but that would be a worry if true. I couldn’t agree more that v0 feels like it is changing daily. I really don’t know what kind of day I’m going to have when I log in to v0. I’m losing faith in it because of this huge inconsistency. If you are just playing and learning, v0 is still very interesting, but creating commercial software is, at least for now, a bit of a no-no. However, I will give the team another month to sort this out otherwise I will explore Cursor. I just need some consistency and for Agent to stop hallucinating.
