I need help switching my domain to another account, and I don’t have access to the previous account. I have tried domain verification with the TXT but it won’t release from the previous account (that I can’t access). Currently I’m using squarespace name servers but they are taking forever to propagate and I want to use a Vercel managed namespace.

I’m also confused by a previous post that says when adding a TXT record:

  • Create a new TXT record
  • In the “Name” or “Host” field, enter @ or leave it blank

However, Vercel told me to use ‘_vercel’ as the name?

Can someone please remove the domain “powerleagueprodigy.com” from the previous vercel account?

Hey @hunterxbrawlstars. You should be able to regain access to your previous account by logging in with your GItHub account or with the email address for your previous account. Then you’ll be able to transfer the domain to another team or project :smile:

That being said, is the only option to reach out to the registration email?

If you no longer have access to the email address or GitHub account used for your previous Vercel account, then reaching out to [redacted] is the way to regain access to your previous Vercel account. :slightly_smiling_face:

UPDATE: The account recovery page is now the best way to ensure the account recovery team has the info needed to help you regain access to your account as quickly as possible.

It’s not my account, it’s a former employees account. Same answer I pressume?

Same answer. That team has access to investigate account history and ownership. And they’ll be able to privately discuss the necessary account details with you instead of putting them out in public here. :pray:
