Iconiq UI: Open-Source Components Designed Around Interaction

Hey Vercelians :waving_hand:

I’m Edwin, creator of Iconiq UI.

Iconiq is an open-source collection of React components that explores how motion can improve interface quality. Rather than treating animation as a finishing touch, components are designed around transitions, state changes, and user feedback from the start.

The project focuses on creating interactions that feel intentional and predictable. Every component is built around the idea that motion should help users understand what’s happening on screen, whether that’s revealing content, changing context, or responding to an action.

What we’re focused on

  • Motion that supports usability and clarity
  • Minimalist design without unnecessary visual noise
  • Accessibility-first interaction patterns
  • Production-ready implementations for real applications
  • Flexible foundations powered by Base UI and Radix UI

Iconiq is still evolving, and I’m continuously experimenting with interaction patterns, animation systems, and component design to better understand what makes interfaces feel great to use.

Wow, I wish I’d seen this when I updated my landing page, but I think I might consider using it for a project I have for a hackathon (H0 v0 + AWS). This is awesome, man!!
