I have an issue with an IDN domain on Vercel DNS.
Domain:
про-сайты.рф
punycode: ߭߷߹߶ߡ.рф
Project:
anastasia-portfolio
The domain is added to the project, but Vercel shows “Invalid Configuration”.
Registrar:
Timeweb
Timeweb support confirmed that the domain is correctly delegated to:
ns1.vercel-dns.com
ns2.vercel-dns.com
However, Vercel DNS does not publish the records for this domain. Public DNS checkers do not consistently resolve NS/A/CNAME records.
Vercel Agent also detected a possible infrastructure-side issue with this IDN domain and said the DNS engineering team should investigate it, but the support case form is blocked on Hobby plan and redirects me to the Community.
Expected result:
The domain should be validated and Vercel DNS should publish records for ߭߷߹߶ߡ.рф.
Please help escalate or explain what exactly blocks validation for this IDN domain.

Vercel Dashboard for this domain still shows:
“Update your domain’s nameservers to enable Vercel DNS”
However, WHOIS already shows that the domain is delegated to:
DNSChecker for NS records shows only 1–2 successful locations and many failed locations. So the delegation exists in WHOIS, but Vercel Dashboard still does not recognize the nameservers as active.

Please help escalate this issue or explain why Vercel DNS does not recognize the nameservers for this IDN domain.
Could you please clarify what exactly Vercel considers misconfigured?
WHOIS shows the domain is delegated to ns1.vercel-dns.com and ns2.vercel-dns.com, but Vercel Dashboard still says “Update your domain’s nameservers to enable Vercel DNS”.
Is the issue:
- Vercel cannot see the delegation from the .рф registry,
- the DNS zone for ߭߷߹߶ߡ.рф is missing/broken on Vercel DNS,
- or IDN/punycode validation is failing on Vercel’s side?
Please tell me the exact blocking reason, not just “Invalid Configuration”.
