Hello,
I have a project I started on Lovable a while ago but as I have decided to fully move all work to v0, I am wondering how I can move this specific project from Lovable to v0.
My assumption is that it is via GitHub, but this is where I need some help…if my assumption is right of course.
I assume that I would connect my Lovable project to GitHub as step 1. But then, how to I merge in or import a GitHub repo which this Lovable project would be now connected to, into a new v0 chat / project?
Also wondering, once I do this, do i disconnect it from GitHub via Lovable site? Or do I just make a new rep for this imported project to v0?
Or…. is there a fully different method for doing what I am trying to do?
Another question…if/when i import in to v0, should I expect that the design will still be exactly the same as how it was done in Lovable (if that makes sense)?.
I just read another post similar to this saying that another way to do this is to upload the code as a zip file.
So does this mean I just download the entire Github repo for the project I mentioned here, and then just drop that entire zip file into a new v0 chat?
Hi @pawlean
to answer your question, the Lovable project istn on Github yet. I wanted to check first if this was possible before doing so.
But, I am not seeing the “import from GitHub” button at all when I start a new chat or even Project (see attached screenshot). Am I missing something here?
Hi @pawlean
Was just hoping to get some conclusion on the whole screen UI for “import from Github” button that you show vs what I see (and others see based on what I have seen over the weekend).
Thanks again for any clarification on this.
Work around is to download GitHub repo as zipped folder and upload. If you want to start a new chat with that from scratch. Otherwise importing via GitHub in an ongoing chat works as well.
