Last week, it came to our attention that some users were abusing the subscription system in an attempt to get free tokens. We implemented a fix to prevent this, but it was applied too broadly and in some cases caused legitimate users to not receive their new tokens.
If the payment failed while a user was subscribing to v0 Premium, we reset their credits to the free $5 amount. If they successfully purchased again in a short timespan, our system incorrectly would not re-issue the premium credits.
This means some users lost between $5 and $15 worth of tokens, depending on how much of the original subscription was consumed before it reset.
Our data team is collecting a full list of cases and we will be restoring the lost token credits to all those who were affected.
Hi, I noticed there used to be a 30-day reset counter for credits, but now it’s gone. Does this mean that, because of a bug, I lost access to the Premium features or the credits I was supposed to have?
Mine has been like this for more than 4 days, I took a huge loss because of this, it was almost R$2,000 reais in loss because of this incident, my three clients left me, now I have to wait for your good will, I’m very pissed off with this whole situation, and day after day goes by and nothing is resolved, partly because of the premium mode situation and the other partly because of the financial loss.
I received a value of 10.50 in purchased credits in my account, but there is nothing in my premium plan, and there is nothing that I will use, the cost per message is absurd, to be honest this update destroyed everything, even the v0.dev chat is very dumb, it doesn’t solve anything properly even with the best prompts @jacobparis@amyegan

Can you share some chat IDs or URLs where you are facing these issues so our team can help you better and fix if there are any bugs?
I only have 0.85 and if it runs out I won’t be able to use it anymore because I’ll be left without credit, and I won’t be able to use the premium plan because of what happened.
When will the premium subscription become normal? Will the v0.dev AI be as good as before? It’s extremely annoying to be here all the time calling you guys, seriously?
The v0 model will definitely get better than before with the work our team is putting into it and all the feedback we are getting. I don’t have a timeline for you. That being said, I understand you’ve been facing issues with v0, so if you could share examples or scenarios that we could work on, it’ll help us help you better.
You tell it to fix something and it doesn’t fix it and when it fixes it it ruins everything, do what wasn’t said in the prompt and to solve an error and the same error more than 5 times, I have an error to deploy since 05/25 today when the credits were added, I tried more than 25 times to solve the same error and it didn’t solve it, before the update it was sharp and solved it right away now it’s a sacrifice
I ran out of 10.50 and now it’s asking me to put credit on it even though I have the premium plan. For the love of God, I thought I had resolved this. Now I’ll have another week without working. Honestly, it’s really leaving me wanting more.
We’ve re-issued the missing credits to all affected users plus an additional $5
If you had a $20 balance when it was reset to the free $5 amount (losing $15 worth of credits) you should see a top-up of the full $20
If you had a $10 balance when it was reset to $5, you will see a top-up of $10
These will appear as “purchased credits” and have been extended to 60 days so you will have additional time to use them.
There is one additional edge-case where a user can still hit this bug before June 1 (2 days from now) when it closes entirely. Our team is actively monitoring this and will re-issue credits ASAP, but please post here if you think you are still affected.

I still face the payment failure today (6/8/2025), and my payment kept being declined. I am an active user of v0 to build a commercial project, and I have almost used up my credits. When could you solve this bug?
Im not sure if this what happened with my account but I had to change my payment method last week and it seems like i lost w months worth of credits or something because i ran out gain by Tuesday evening in the middle of a deployment…SO I purchased more credits and im out AGAIN. Ive barely done half the volume of work i did last month and ive paid nearly double as much AND im out of credits and dont reup again until the 4th? somethings not right and i dont have time to figure it out i had to move development over to a competitor for now. PLS help
