Initiative to Launch a Vercel Developer Community at My University

Hi everyone! :waving_hand:

I’m Saqib Jan, a student at UET Peshawar, and I’m really passionate about promoting Vercel and modern web development tools among students

I’ve already been sponsored by Vercel to host an upcoming workshop at my university, and I’d love to take this further by creating a local Vercel Community on campus.

My goal is to organize workshops, sessions, and collaborative events that help students learn about Vercel, Next.js, and deployment best practices — while also giving more visibility to Vercel in the student ecosystem.

I’d really appreciate any guidance or support from the Vercel Community Team or anyone who’s built similar campus communities before.

Thanks!

Hey, Saqib! Welcome to the Vercel Community

I’m so happy that we’re already sponsoring one of your upcoming events. I assume our team responsible for developer meet-ups got that sorted for you! cc @kapehe @gabby-2486

When is the event? I’d love to add it to our Events calendar so everyone has this visibility.

Love the enthusiasm! :fire: It sounds like what you’re describing is an education (or ambassador) program, we don’t have that currently built out at Vercel but I’ll share this with the team for inspiration when we start exploring this.

I personally have organised university workshops and events back in the day and found it so fulfilling! Before we get an official program set up, let us know how we can help - starting with the event you’re already organising!

Hey!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I’m really excited to be part of the Vercel Community.

Yes, the sponsorship for the upcoming event has been sorted out — big thanks to the Vercel team for the support!

I’ll confirm the event date soon and let you know, so it can be added to the Events calendar.

Also, I really liked your idea — I’d love to stay in touch and explore the possibility of building a local Vercel Community on my campus in the future. I believe it could be a great step to engage more students and developers locally.

Thanks again for the encouragement and support!
