Inquiry: V0 Credits for Open Source Developers in the Vercel Community

Hello Vercel Community,

I’m an open-source developer and a proud member of the Vercel Open Source Program, specifically the Winter 2026 Cohort. I greatly appreciate Vercel’s dedication to the open-source ecosystem, which is evident through the Vercel Open Source Program and the valuable OSS Starter Pack that provides credits for various third-party services.

With the recent advancements and the exciting capabilities of v0 by Vercel , I’m curious about whether there are any initiatives or programs specifically designed to provide v0 credits to open-source projects or developers, especially for those already part of the Vercel Open Source Program. I understand that v0 has its own credit system, separate from general Vercel platform credits , .

While the Vercel Open Source Program provides platform credits, and the OSS Starter Pack includes credits for other tools, I haven’t found explicit information regarding dedicated v0 credits for open-source contributions within the existing program benefits. I did notice that the Vercel AI Accelerator program has offered v0 credits , and some meetups have also provided them .

Could anyone clarify if there’s an existing program, or if there are plans to introduce one, that would support open-source developers (particularly those in current cohorts like Winter 2026) with v0 credits? Is there a specific process for current cohort members to request or apply for v0 credits? This would be a fantastic way to empower OSS projects to leverage v0’s AI-powered UI generation capabilities without financial barriers.
