IPv6 support

We have clients requiring IPv6 support, so our options seem to be either to move away from Vercel or to put something like Cloudflare in front of Vercel? The latter option will add latency and cost, so it’s not great.

In the old community discussion forum, @leerob mentioned that IPv6 was target for beginning of 2024,[1] but we’re now in beginning of 2025. Are there any news to share on the topic?

Any update on this?

Vercel is hosted on AWS, which has been adding strong support for IPv6-only setups. Vercel engineers should be aware of this “new technology.”

Honestly, this is a feature that shouldn’t even need to be requested from a tech company in 2025.

Thanks for flagging this, Miyuru! We’ve shared this internally and will loop back with any additional comments.

I also just ran in to this.
IPv6 should be table stakes by now.

@pawlean Any updates? It’s really frustrating to not have IPv6 support, and makes me stick to other platforms

@pawlean Any updates? Can’t access my db instance due to lack of IPV6 support

Hey folks! Thank you so much for your patience :folded_hands:

There are no updates on this for now, but we will let you know once we get an ETA.

Hi. We are now at the beginning of 2026, over two years after the first indication of iPv6 being around the corner.
I am requesting a status update on this feature request.

Due to gov requirements we are required to be compliant with iPv6, and we are soon forced to switch platform if this is not implemented.

Thank you
