Tired of searching?
What if you could explore a billion products in under a minute—without typing a single query or lifting a finger?
A week ago, I built IRIS at the Granola x Vercel v0 one-day hackathon. Huge thanks to both teams for organizing an incredible Sunday with amazing energy and brilliant builders.
Try it here: https://iris-jump-dont-search.vercel.app/
The idea:
Inspired by Stargate and its wormholes, instead of searching, you JUMP through product catalogs. Every product gets embedded into a unified space (text, images, enriched attributes—all folded together into a single specialized space).
At each step, you see 4 options: the most different corners of what’s left.
Pick one. The space narrows. A Bayesian bandit learns your preferences in real-time and auto-filters when confident (picked red 3x → filters to red next jump).
The math: even a billion products takes ~15 jumps. In practice? 5-7 jumps, under 60 seconds when you use voice AI to drive it!
The vision:
Pair this with a deeply personalized voice agent. Your agent already knows your size, budget, and style. It kicks you off in the right category based on context. Then you start jumping—all by voice.
“Show me something bold.”
“Jump.”
“What’s this made of?”
No typing. No scrolling. Just conversation and discovery.
That’s the interface I want to see more of: AI agents with genuinely new interaction models, not just better search bars.
