What is the point of offering credit purchase if you can’t use them. I am outraged.
Hi @ghostt, welcome to the Vercel Community!
I’m sorry that you are facing this issue. Can you confirm you are seeing this error on the same team as you used to purchase the credits with?
I have 2 teams with sufficient credits and everything works correctly there.
These credits where purchased from my personal account though, which I am using as you can see in the screenshot.
It shows the credits in the top right, but doesn’t display them at my credit balance in the menu itself.
It gets even weirder now. Please see the bottom notification telling me I have 3 messages left, but then the buy credits popup when I try to prompt.
It’s been days.
Please refund I do not want to deal with this company anymore.
Used to love Vercel but I’m moving away from it now, this is just ridiculous.
No ticket system, no help, no nothing. Just taking the money and leave you hanging.
A team cannot use purchased credits without an active v0 subscription. It looks like
- Your personal team had v0 Pro and you purchased additional credits
- You then created a new v0 Team (which comes with $30/m in credits)
- You downgraded your personal team back to Hobby, where it now has message limits and can no longer access the purchased credits
If you use the team selector in the top left to switch to your paid Team, you should be able to use v0 normally. You can transfer a project from your personal team to the new paid Team by clicking the settings icon in the top right and using Transfer Project
Or you can bulk transfer by going to v0.app/chat/settings/workspace to move multiple (or all) projects at once
If you’d like to move forward with the team, I can transfer the purchased credits from your personal team to the new team.
The main use-case for this pattern (free personal account, paid v0 Team) is for multiple people to work on the same v0 team with a shared credit budget without each needing their own individual subscriptions. If it’s just you, upgrading your personal team to Premium is simpler, and if all you wanted was $30 each month instead of $20, purchasing the additional 10 on demand is better because it carries over month over month too.
If you’d still like to proceed with a refund, you can go to vercel.com/help and the chat bot should let you self serve a refund by choosing the correct invoice.
I assume your greatest concern here will be retaining access to the $30 in purchased credits you had on your personal team, in which case you either need to keep a personal Premium membership or I can have those transfered to your new Team
No ser, I did not have a team and was on my personal account.
It just said no more credits and prompted me to buy more. As I needed to continue the website I did.
Then i was able to do 1 prompt and then it said I was out of credits where you can clearly see in the right top corner 29.92 remain.
If I was notified the credits where useless without a team I would have never purchased them–furthermore, why was I able to do 1 prompt?
Seems there’s something wrong with the system rather.
Here you can see that I never had any other invoice/purchase besides these credits–these are all my invoices–so no subscription was present.
The chat bot is as helpful as an umbrella in a swimming pool.
My greatest concern was finishing the projects and now I have lost 3DAYS!!! because of this and a lot of frustration on top.
Just tried for a refund but keep getting an error. Made a case on the Vercel now.
My friend is now starting a Team plan so if it fails we can transfer them there I can transfer the project too and continue my work.
Either way, get rid of that bot.
Can we transfer the tokens? im still waiting on that refund im so tired of this
Hi @ghostt, if you’ve created a billing case regarding refund, you should get a response from our Support team.
Transferring credits is not possible, our team should be able to help with the refund.
Thanks. the team finally picked up and refunded. this case can be closed.
