Jobs is a resume-first job matching platform where companies publish roles using a simple jobs.md file, and candidates find the most relevant opportunities by uploading a resume.
The idea is inspired by skills.sh if individuals can describe their skills using a simple markdown file, companies should be able to describe open roles the same way. jobs.md applies that idea to hiring and matching.
For companies:
Publish openings by uploading a single jobs.md
No ATS setup or custom dashboards
Edit or update the file anytime
Roles are immediately discoverable by candidates
One listing per company to keep postings focused and up to date
For candidates:
Mode 1: Database Search
Upload a resume (PDF)
Resume is analyzed to extract skills, experience, role, and industry
Jobs are matched against company-posted roles on the platform
Top 3β10 results are returned with match scores
Best suited for curated, higher-quality roles
Mode 2: Web Search
Upload the same resume
A semantic search query is generated from the resume
Relevant job pages are discovered across the open web
Non-job content is filtered out
Top 3β10 matches are ranked and linked directly
No manual browsing or keyword guessing required
What Jobs solves
Reduces manual job searching and filtering
Matches based on role fit and experience, not keywords
Works across tech and non-tech professions
Keeps hiring and discovery lightweight and reusable
If this feels useful, feel free to reshare or tag companies that could add their jobs.md.
More company listings improve matching quality for candidates and reduce effort for teams.
Happy to iterate based on feedback.
Would love to see Vercel add their jobs.md as well!
