Looking for Technical Guidance on a Photorealistic Memorial Website
I’m a beginner developer working on a memorial website built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, GitHub, and Vercel. The project is already set up and deployed, but I need help achieving the visual quality and interactivity I have in mind.
The website concept includes:
- A beautiful, photorealistic memorial garden with realistic gravestones and natural surroundings.
- Realistic, interactive candle flames and flowers.
- A photo gallery displaying pictures of deceased loved ones.
- Personalized memorials where users can upload, position, and resize their own photographs.
My biggest challenge is realism. The AI-generated images and visual effects I have tried often look artificial, cartoonish, or like computer-generated 3D scenes instead of real photographs. I want realistic stone textures, natural lighting, convincing reflections, lifelike candle flames, and authentic flowers. I also need the interactive elements and photo personalization to work properly.
I’m looking for an experienced developer who could offer technical guidance, suggest the right tools and workflow, or possibly help me improve the project.
Unfortunately, I cannot afford to pay for development help at the moment. I’m a beginner working on this project with limited resources, and I’m trying to learn as I go. I completely understand that professional work deserves payment, but if anyone would be willing to offer some free advice, mentorship, or occasional guidance, I would be extremely grateful.
I’m especially interested in learning how to combine photorealistic image assets, image compositing, interactive effects, and modern web technologies without making the result look artificial.
Any advice, useful resources, or guidance from experienced developers would mean a lot to me. Thank you for your time!
