I was building an app yesterday and I was now around v47.
I went to bed with my laptop in sleep mode, and when I logged in again this morning the app was back at v8!
Is it possible that I lost all the progress made yesterday? Is there a way to retrieve it?
And how should I make sure that it does not happen again in the future?

That doesn’t sound right. Unless you accidentally restored to v8?
