Hi Vercel Team,
I am trying to add the following subdomains to my project:
-
eii.edu.eu -
www.eii.edu.eu
However, I am stuck at the verification step.
The Issue:
Vercel asks me to add a TXT record at _vercel.edu.eu to prove ownership. I do NOT own or control the root domain edu.eu. It is a shared/public domain suffix. My DNS administrator has already confirmed they cannot add records to the root domain because I do not own it.
What I have access to:
I have full DNS control over the subdomains themselves (eii.edu.eu and www.eii.edu.eu), just not the parent zone (edu.eu).
Request:
Since edu.eu appears to be treated as a shared public suffix, could you please either:
-
Manually approve these subdomains for my account (Project:
eei-website), or -
Adjust the verification requirement so that it checks for the TXT record at
_vercel.eii.edu.eu(the subdomain level) instead of the root level.
I understand this is a limitation with the Public Suffix List, but I cannot change the DNS for the root domain. Please let me know if there is a workaround or manual approval process for this specific case.
Thank you!
