My chat was deleted...On a big project

I need assistance as my most recent chat was deleted automatically.

Please assist with recovering my most recent chat.

Hey @jasper-9479. The system isn’t set up to automatically delete, so your recent chat should still be available unless you manually deleted it. Is the chat just showing no preview/history? Or is it missing from your chat list entirely?

If you have the chat ID or a link to the chat, I can dig into the logs for more info about what’s happening with your chat

Yeah i understand. I never deleted the chat but it just disappeared. I did not manually delete it. Here is the project: Project. The most recent chat is from the 26th June but there should be a more recent chat in the project.

I desperately need the missing chat recovered :confused:

Thanks for sharing the project ID. I checked the logs and found records for a few chats associated with that project. It looks like a couple of them were deleted. I’m going to send you a private message to confirm which chat is the problem and determine what options are available

if you have github sync enabled this will help avoid this problem in the future.

This took some work but we just launched a feature to let you see deleted chats and restore them yourself

Hi @jacobparis ,

My chat was deleted when I click for deleting a message, I don’t know how nor why. Now I can see it in the “archive” section, but when I click on “restore”, a successfuly message shows up, but the chat is still in the archive section and is not restored.

Could you help me, please?

It looks like the “restore” button is working now, and it’s done what it was supposed to do. Perfect!
