Need help with v0

Hi everyone - new guy & tripping all over my project. I am building a demo for investing in an entrepreneurial services marketplace.

I have to admit ….. the v0.app is paving the way.

Not long ago I found GitHub and thought “oh good I can save it”. And now I am trying to connect Supabase. But I am out of my depth.

I don’t know why but I keep getting switched from v0-mini to vO-max and my monthly $20 PRO just renewed but it the credits evaporated in one day.

:man_shrugging: Last month, besides $20 PRO subscription, I was in a roll so I bought $30, $30, $30, & $100 and finally had to ask for the $100 back as a refund (which was approved) because my chat assistant was just spinning it’s wheels - trial & error.

But whew :anxious_face_with_sweat: - then I got auto billed $ 41, 40, $43 & another $41., I had to dispute the last 3 out of self survival.

What am I doing wrong that is pouring my credits down the drain ?

Even though my account renewed and billed me, it keeps going to “freeze chat and upgrade to TEAM”

I sent a support request but they said 2-3 weeks ???

Well anyway, I am not a techie and could use some help if anyone is interested in a new project - I am trying to make it startup / founder friendly to startup entrepreneurs.

Hey @elmtreemarketinggrou. I moved your comment from the introductions thread because I think it deserves to be its own topic.

If you give me the ticket number, I can check on your case

Hi and thanks - I didn’t realize

I had a response so sorry for the delay.

Today 042026

ok I am gratified we were able to accomplish the membership edits and the entrepreneurial journey edits as far as we have gotten - BUT I am having difficulty with the wasted credit issue and I have to go on record here with regard to now I am out of credits and this isn’t the first time. For example - Git Hub disappeared from my v0 interface which ate $10 worth of credits just trying to get re-authorized because there was not GitHub mention to even click on and I had to find a way to reconnect to Git Hub and reverse engineer the connection which somehow worked even though I don’t know how it worked. But the problem is that there is no invoice to request a refund.

Thought for 2s

You’re right to document this. You have legitimate cases for credit refunds:

  1. Entrepreneurial Journey carousel - We made ~15+ requests with multiple failed approaches and back-and-forth corrections that should have been one clean implementation

  2. GitHub integration issue - $10 wasted troubleshooting a reconnection problem that shouldn’t have required reverse-engineering

Here’s what you need to do:

Go to Help and open a support ticket titled something like:

“Request for Credit Refund - Wasted Credits on Failed v0 Implementations and GitHub Integration Issues”

Include:

  • Reference to this v0 chat (you can share the link)

  • The two specific incidents (Entrepreneurial Journey carousel iterations + GitHub reconnection)

  • Estimate of credits wasted (~$20 based on your account)

  • Note that there’s no invoice system to document refunds

Be direct and factual. Vercel support can review the chat history and see the excessive iterations and failed troubleshooting. They have the ability to credit your account even without an invoice in the system—it’s a support decision, not a billing transaction.

You’ve done the work to document it here. Now escalate to their support team who has the authority to make it right.

Then ofcourse -

no support person

no refund

And the best yet : here is a one liner code fix

Go to GitHub and fix it yourself :robot:

What you can do right now (no credits needed):

The fix is a single line of code. In your GitHub repository, open the signup page file and add this at the very top:

export const dynamic = ‘force-dynamic’

That’s it. Save, commit, and your build should work.

About the preview issue:

The fact that v0’s preview didn’t catch this build error is valuable feedback. Please use the Feedback option on the v0 home pageto report that the preview didn’t reflect the production build behavior. This goes directly to the v0 engineering team who can improve this.

I know this isn’t the answer you were hoping for, and I’m sorry I can’t do more. If there’s something else blocking you from applying that one-line fix, let me know and I’ll try to help guide you through it.

Not only that but since I used all my credits a $100 upgrade popped up with a selection button already selected to automatically recharge my credits when they are below $10

Isn’t that illegal ? :man_shrugging:

Needless to say :sob: this is like the 5th time I have exhausted credits unnecessarily and I am unhappy

v0 & Vercel people - you need to do better :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I may have figured it out :innocent:

I copied the one liner code fix of code to GitHub with a copilot assistant and it walked me through the steps :+1::rocket: and it worked :heart_eyes:YAY

So now I can still work on it when my credits update without being errored out :clinking_beer_mugs:

Yes, with the updates successfully merged (and assuming the deployment pipeline to your URL has been set up correctly), you should now see the changes reflected on the live site. These changes include:

  1. “Entrepreneurial Journey” Image Carousel:

• This new feature should now be visible, with optimized image displays and numbered navigation.

  1. Consulting Page Updates:

• Any key milestones highlighted and grid layout adjustments for better usability.

  1. Mobile Optimization:

• Improved user experience on smaller devices, including horizontal scrolling and better top spacing.

However, before confirming, I recommend:

• Check the Live URL: Visit your site (https://v0-1-11-tnt-total-site-ubiquity-mod.vercel.app) to verify the updates.

• Clear Cache: Ensure you’re not seeing cached content by clearing your browser cache or forcing a refresh (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R).

• Review Deployment Logs: If changes are still not visible, check deployment logs on Vercel to ensure it picked up the latest merged commits.

If you still don’t see the updates, let me know, and we can troubleshoot further!

What a journey. I’m so glad you got it working!

Everyone - I have to take it back - I received a code line recommendation - i had copilot help me load it and it was exactly perfect to get my sight back up - THEN yesterday / same day as my rant / I received a refund -

Someone on support is THE BEST and I am HAPPY HAPPY - HITL for real :rocket::heart:
