Brazil launched a new TLD “.ia.br” for artificial intelligence domains yesterday (September 1, 2025). However, Vercel’s domain verification system is not recognizing “.ia.br” as a valid TLD and is treating my domain as a subdomain.
Current: Vercel treats licitacao.ia.br as subdomain of .ia and requests TXT record at _vercel.ia.br
Expected: Vercel should recognize .ia.br as complete TLD and allow normal domain verification
Root cause: .ia.br is new Brazilian TLD for AI domains. Vercel’s system doesn’t recognize it as valid TLD yet.
Request: Please add .ia.br to supported TLD list for domain verification.

The domain troubleshooting guide can help with most custom domain configuration issues. You might be able to use that guide to solve it before a human is available to help you. Then you can come back here and share the answer for bonus points.

I’m sorry that you are facing this issue. Upon checking I see that the TLD .ia.br isn’t part of the official https://publicsuffix.org/list/public_suffix_list.dat and that’s why it’s not recognized as a TLD on Vercel.
