New usage based model is too expensive

Hi All.

I've found the recent move to usage based pricing to be EXTREMELY expensive. I'm using V0 as my sole coding tool and have build some maga cool stuff. It's an amazing tool for sure.

I'm I getting it wrong or is it now just very very expensive for professional level usage?

So far this month I've spent up the included credits and smashed through $60 of top-ups. Using the small model as much as possible and the medium when it's called for.. any only the large one of something is really stuck or I'm adding a large feature.

Anthropic looks to offer a much fairer license and will be trying that instead for a while.

My advice would be to stick with the crowd. I'm cancelling my V0 subscription and moving to Anthropic.

There is a huge importance for the user to be able to predict how much a service will cost and to have the piece of mind that if they need it, the service will be there to back them up without an open-ended cost.

Due to this change, this is no longer the case for V0. To be clear, uncertainty is the single reason that I'm moving away from this service. The product is fantastic, but I cannot reconcile the variable cost.

Obviously this won't be changing as you've stated clearly, but hopefully my feedback will serve as useful data should you see a downturn or general fall off in subscriptions.
