Hi and the Vercel Open Source team! 👋
I’m the maintainer of OmniScope, and we would love to be considered for the Vercel Open Source Program (and the OSS Starter Pack / Vercel AI Gateway credits) to power our live web platform and autonomous OSINT intelligence agents.

🌍 1) Short Project Description
OmniScope is an authentic, 100% keyless open-source geospatial intelligence (OSINT) and situational awareness platform. It unifies real-time physical sensor grids across 10 critical operational domains—including RainViewer Doppler radar loops, USGS tectonic feeds, NOAA severe storm & tornado archives (1940–present), subsea fiber cables, AIS marine traffic, METAR aviation stations, and geomagnetic observatories.
In addition to our client-side Web Edition deployed on Vercel (https://omniscope-web.vercel.app), we provide ultra-lightweight sovereign native builds for Windows (Neutralinojs/WebView2 .exe, 1.7 MB) and Android (Native .apk, 380 KB), as well as a full Model Context Protocol (MCP) server suite for AI coding agents. OmniScope is strictly committed to a Zero-Fake policy, serving only verified, authentic open scientific telemetry.
⚡ 2) Why We Need Vercel & Vercel AI Gateway
We rely on Vercel's global Edge Network to deliver instant, low-latency client performance for our live tactical dashboard, interactive WebGL earth globe, and real-time sensor inspectors.
As part of OmniScope's next roadmap phase, we are implementing autonomous OSINT intelligence agents that synthesize global satellite and sensor alerts. We specifically require the Vercel AI Gateway and Vercel platform credits to:
- Provide reliable, unified multi-model routing and streaming (evaluating real-time storm consensus and natural disaster summaries for users without requiring individual commercial API keys).
- Leverage Vercel Edge Functions for fast serverless caching and rate-limiting on open public telemetry.
- Power our documentation portal and live agent playground with enterprise-grade edge uptime.
🤝 3) How the Project Benefits the Open-Source Community
OmniScope breaks the monopoly of expensive, proprietary enterprise intelligence tools by democratizing verified real-time situational data for researchers, humanitarian responders, students, and open-source developers worldwide:
- 100% Keyless & Zero-Paywall: Anyone can clone and run OmniScope without registering credit cards or managing paid API subscriptions.
- Sovereign & Lightweight: Unlike heavy Electron applications, our native desktop builds are under 2 MB, and the web edition runs friction-free on any modern browser via Vercel.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) Native: We provide open MCP servers allowing autonomous AI agents to query live weather models, seismic feeds, and satellite status directly as structured function tools.
- MIT Licensed: All core components, datasets, and architectures are freely accessible, reproducible, and community-driven.
Thank you for supporting open-source builders—feedback from the Vercel team and community is very welcome!
