Open in v0 from Shadcn totally broken sidebar

going to shadcn and then opening in v0 - for example this one
" An inset sidebar with secondary navigation"

yields a totally broken layout. after 4 project tries and a number of prompts to overcome it, its just broken. I overwrote all of the tsx files to match what is on the shadcn site and still its not working which pushes me to think its something on the v0 vercel side that’s just broken.

I decided to start a new project from just prompting (not using open in v0) by asking for an empty dashboard layout with the shadcn sidebar and it ended up giving me something similar but… still the sidebar is broken.

note, I’m aware this is likely a dup of Sidebar Components Broken After Vercel Update

however with a core shadcn sidebar being broken for the last 5+ days I feel like the urgency around it should be signaled.
