Orphaned Account after GitHub OAuth Reconnect (Cases 01305203 & 01324117)

Hi Vercel team,

I’m stuck in an authentication loop and completely locked out of my main account.

My original account was created purely with GitHub (no email fallback). I recently created a second account and accidentally linked my primary GitHub to it. This immediately severed the connection to my original account.

When I realized the mistake, I disconnected my GitHub from the new account, but now I cannot log into the original one at all. Attempting to log in with GitHub just returns: [``https://vercel.com/login?error=account_not_found``](``https://vercel.com/login?error=account_not_found``).

Because the original account has no email or password login method, it is entirely orphaned. I have live production projects and verified domains on there that I urgently need to manage.

I currently have two open tickets regarding this:

  • Case 01305203 (Submitted 3 days ago via the registration queue)

  • Case 01324117 (Submitted just now via the Account Recovery portal with full proof of ownership)

Could a staff member please help escalate this so I can verify ownership and restore my GitHub connection? Thank you!

Huge apologies for the delay, and we hear you. We’re working our way through the caseload – we have a small (but growing) specialist team that can help (account compromises require careful ownership verification) + are building system improvements to make it faster across the board.

I’ve escalated the case numbers shared above to our specialist team.
