Paid January v0 Premium Blocked by November Invoice from Inactive Period

I’m currently unable to use v0 even though I paid for and resubscribed in January 2026. The issue is that an outstanding invoice from November 2025 is blocking my access to the platform.

Here’s what happened:

  • I was subscribed to v0 but stopped my subscription in November 2025 because I didn’t have any active projects and didn’t need the service at that time

  • I intentionally stopped my payment method for the November billing cycle since I wasn’t using v0

  • In January 2026, I decided to resubscribe and successfully paid for the January subscription ($20)

  • However, I’m now unable to use v0 chat or access any Premium features because the system says I have an outstanding November 2025 invoice

  • The November invoice shows as unpaid with failed payment attempts, and it’s blocking my access even though I have a valid, paid subscription for January

The frustrating part is that I didn’t use v0 during the November period, and now that unpaid invoice is preventing me from using the service I’ve already paid for in January. I can’t cancel the November invoice through the normal refund process because it has pending payment retries.

Has anyone else experienced this issue where an old unpaid invoice blocks access to a new paid subscription?

Hi @officialgpsdhillon-1, welcome to the Vercel Community!

I’m sorry you are facing this issue.

This issue happens when your payment fails for the first time for some reason and then the next payment goes through.

The quickest solution is to get your invoice refunded from the AI chat on Help and then make the purchase again.

If this doesn’t work, you can also create a support case from there because our Support team handles the billing cases and they’ll surely sort this out.
