I am new to v0 and is currently using prompts to create an app. Suddenly the preview of the app disappeared and now the right side of the page is containing only the code. There are no buttons or options with “Preview” and I was stupid enough to use credits for asking the AI of how to get the preview back. After several attempts, I give up. Every time I make a change, I need to go to “Publish” to be able to see the new version. Can anyone help?
There is a toggle button to switch between preview and code views. Is this what you’re referring to?
This is the one that is deactivated. But it says “v0 cannot currently preview Expo components”. I previously converted the code to React Native using Expo, so I guess this is the reason. I’ve asked to reverse it but v0 says the code is a Next.js web application and it should work. Even going back to the first version before this conversion, I get the same error when trying to press the preview button.
Do you mind sharing the chat link so we can see?
Thanks for jumping in here, @emperez! ![]()
Off course, here is the link:
The chat link you sent is private, can you make it public?
Trying to find a way to make it public, but can’t see where I have the option of changing this. I am using Edge explorer on Windows.
Using the share button on the top right will give you this dropdown where you can update the visibility settings.
Off course, thank for showing me. The link is not public.
I see what you mean, definitely looks like the conversion to Expo is causing this issue. I am able to see a preview for all versions up till v8, which is right when you prompted for the conversion. Here’s a link to the v7 chat, I would use this to complete all necessary UI changes and then download a zip of the code to complete the conversion to Expo outside of v0.
