I’ve been a user since November 2024, and shipped different websites and side projects with it, and I just want to say that the new pricing model is so wrong. I got 7 dollars that just vanished on fixing issues in less than an hour.
Hey, Nadjib! Welcome to the Vercel Community
I know there’s been a lot of frustration and confusion around the pricing update. The v0 team shared more info about it here:
Do you have guides on how to keep the costs low? (outside of changing models)
I’m trying to understand how my costs are .20c per message compared to the .03-.07c costs per message the vercel team has been putting out.
I have system instructions, and project instructions + docs in the knowledge base.
Whats the best way to optimize my usage?
Honestly the small model does the job just fine without spending too much of my credits. I stopped using the large model that’s why I was spending so much. For my project I begin with a Figma and try to reuse as much as possible components that I will create so I can save credits as much as possible.
Will definitely try that out! I think the process is going to really be geared towards what your doing now.
Design components through Figma, use other LLMs to do function coding, then providing it to v0 to glue everything together.
Got any other tips I can use
exactly and I use also on the side chatgpt for debug and rewriting my prompts to v0 ^^
