Pro plan reactivation requesting payment despite recent invoice being paid

I'm trying to reactivate my Pro plan after my sites were paused, but the dashboard is asking me to pay $20 again. I already paid the August 9th invoice for $20.00 on August 16th, 2026, which covered my Pro subscription through September 9th, 2026. The payment was marked as successful, but my Pro subscription was canceled due to initial payment failures. Now when I try to reactivate Pro, it's requesting another $20 payment instead of simply resuming my existing subscription that I've already paid for.

My site has been on pause since yesterday.

Thanks for sharing that! It looks like your team got stuck in a weird state because of that invoice that had payment failures. But we've gotten it back into a good state now.

You should have received a prorated refund for the time unused after the cancellation. You should be able to upgrade to Pro again now if you want, but please let me know if you still have any trouble with it

Please, is there any reason why my Vercel account still shows overdue even though I upgraded yesterday?

Hi,

I'm a bit confused and hoping you can help clarify.

I renewed my Pro subscription on the 9th, but my projects got paused this week. You helped me bring them back online, and then I clicked to upgrade again. It seemed to go through, but now it's showing overdue again in under an hour.

I just checked my email and it says the upgrade I tried today was unsuccessful, as shown in the screenshot below.

My main question is: what happened to the renewal I paid for on the 9th?

That means there was a problem with payment for the upgrade invoice. I just sent you a private message with more info

Just replied to your more recent DM in our chat, but also wanted to share an update here to make sure you're able to see it.

If you need a refund and it did not come through automatically, you can request it at vercel.com/help

Keep in mind that you won't be able to get a refund for an unpaid invoice due to the fact that there is nothing to refund if nothing was paid.

Your team is currently unblocked and on the Hobby plan. If you want to upgrade to Pro, please make sure you use a valid payment method with sufficient funds to cover the full invoice
