I recently created a new Vercel account and I am planning to delete my old one. However, I would like to keep the same username.
The username is "ilyasayachi".
I initially tried to free up the username myself, but I realized that it does not work that way and that it needs to be handled by your team.
Would it be possible to release the username from my old account so I can use it on my new one?

At the moment, we’re not able to manually release or reassign usernames.
When an account is deleted, the associated username is unavailable to be used for a period of time to prevent abuse. The length of this period can vary, and we’re unable to override it or provide an exact timeframe for availability.
The best option is to keep the existing account with your preferred username. The next best option is to periodically check availability directly in your account settings when updating your username. If the username becomes available again, you’ll be able to claim it at that time.
