Hi everyone! I'm Simonee, and I build Room TBA with four other students at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). We just joined the Vercel Open Source Program (Summer 2026 cohort), and we're really happy to be here.
What it is
Room TBA helps UPLB students find where their classes are. You search a room code or building, see it on the map, and get directions. It started in January 2026 as a room finder and has grown into a small campus toolkit:
- Room search and a 3D campus map built with MapLibre and MapTiler
- Class planner to pick sections and keep a few plan versions
- Campus events pinned to their venue
- Crowdsourced edits: anyone can suggest a fix, volunteer editors review it, and approved changes go live
- Works offline after your first visit, which matters when campus signal drops
It's built with Astro, deployed on Vercel, and MIT licensed. So far it has had 16,000+ visitors and 76 GitHub stars.
