Seemingly High Credit Consumption

Hi there,

I have just recently added more credit to my v0 project and it seems to be going through the credit by around or more than $1USD per prompt. Seems extremely high all of a sudden. Any ideas why or how to avoid this. As I don’t earn in USD it puts my cost up closer to $2 in my local currency per prompt. Concerned this seems to be quite a significant jump from what it used to be and now with the forced use of agent mode, I am guessing this may be here to stay. Anybody able to share some insights?

I have the same experience, I also posted about this but no reply. The budget is being eaten through like nothing, things that used to cost a few cents to generate now cost dollars.

One prompt has just cost me approximately £6 ($8)…agent stopped and asked for a new prompt. Re-ran the previous prompt and charged me another £2 approximately. What is going on?

I’m experiencing the same. I’m also burning through a lot of credits fixing changes I didn’t request, which just happen while I’m developing a feature. That ends up costing even more credits, and I’m not happy about it at all.

I do really hope the team reviews this. It would make me and I am sure so many other people using v0 very vocally positive fans. I still love v0, but cost considerations have to be part of the equation.

The most obvious one is looking at having the sm, md, and lrg options we used to have reinstated so people that want to toggle Agent mode can (maybe it is on by default), but those that want that finer control can switch it off). I am hoping this cost increase change may be temporary and teething issues with that changeover - but at the moment it is making me consider not using it, as it is getting excessively expensive (which should only be justifiable if you request that level of output and delivers on what you have selected).

Yeah Kindly boost my post too guys. currently it is forcing everybody to use low-model of v0 instead medium or high mode, due to this agent mode. and it is consuming the same amount of credits for 1% of the work the other agents were able to execute.

Same experience - credits are getting eaten like never before, and often the AI agents go a do stupid stuff that just waste money. I’m pushing to get credits refunded.

@swarnava @jacobparis would it be possible you or one of the other Vercel team members would be able to review and provide feedback on this. It would be most appreciated!

I recently sent an email to see if they had different pricing for Southeast Asia locations because I saw the credit consumption was extremely high for basic prompts. And no reply either. Does anyone have any updates or solutions?

Same experience here, and it’s not good business. I just bought more credits twice in the last two days that are already used up and now I am dead in the water unless purchase more. The same amount of credits before lasted me a month. There are countless posts about this all over this forum. The AI tool is apparently written this way to suck more $ out of users. The tool was amazing when it first started. This company cannot sustain this current model and be successful in the long run. Vercel Team, you need a new pricing structure that makes sense for your users. You are going to price yourself out of the AI space. Come back in a few years and reread this. Mark this post. The exponential growth of AI is going to make you go obsolete. Please, to keep users on this platform, consider a new pricing model. I might as well pay a web designer at this point. You took a good thing and ruined it.

Same here. I am shocked. I purchased $30 credits last night and worked very little and then this morning I started working and it said credits I’m out of credits, I was confused by I purchased another $30 and literally after not many prompts it says again I am out of credits. I’ve been using it for few months and I noticed the longer I’ve used it it burns that credits faster and faster. I would never recommend this product to anyone, I’ve had so many issues and now this tops the cake, I feel like I’m being robbed.
