Stop v0 from asking to run scripts for a new chat

Whenever I create a new chat v0 asks me to run all my project scripts, but there’s no need to.

Can we fix that please? Or can we at least add a ‘Already completed’ button that we can click to tick off the scripts as if we actually clicked ‘Run’ when we didn’t.

Thanks, oh and Merry Christmas :christmas_tree:.. and if you don’t follow Christmas then enjoy some rest.

is there any more context to this to help in understanding why it may be happening? I am able to start new chats in new porjects and same projects and I get nothing like this at all.
So surely there must be more to this. Any more info you can provide will for sure be helpful.

Thank you for replying Sean, hopefully the information below gives you a better understanding. Take your time with this because it’s not a game breaker.

For IPhone on v0 website:
If I make a new chat it’ll first show ‘Add Integration’ for Neon which is interesting because I don’t need it and the v0 AI also agrees that there’s no use for it currently.

Then I’ll click ‘Skip’ and it’ll show me ‘Run files’ with a list of all the scripts that exist in my project which also don’t need to be ran.

I can just swipe off that and then it’ll show ‘Actions required - Configure’ in which I can just click the ‘X’ and I think that’s about all I need to do.

It would be nice if they just didn’t show up at all since Neon and all the scripts don’t need to be integrated again after a new chat.

For IPhone on v0 app:
If I make a new chat it’ll just prompt me to install Neon, but I can just click the ‘X’ button. However, this seems to continue showing after every new version is made so I’ve just been clicking ‘X’ every time which is fine, but in a perfect world I’d prefer if it didn’t keep showing up.
Also, if I was to install Neon I have a feeling it’ll then show me all the scripts I “need” to run.

If I compare the website to the app, the app is a little less user friendly simply because it seems like after every new version I have to click ‘X’ to get off that Neon page that it keeps showing.

Ultimately, it’s really not a big issue but I just thought I’d bring it up.

Thanks and Merry Christmas

Ahhh ok, so this is all on mobile (web + app) where you are experiencing the issues.
I can try to replicate on my end and see if anything like that happens.
Otherwise I am hoping and thinking that the Team will see this on Monday and be able to jump in.
Or, in the meantime, I am wondering if @bestcodes @avik-creator @ussaaron may have some ideas to a solve or reason for this happening.

Yeah man thank you. It’s not a deal breaker so if they just tag it on the list for ‘Things to do’ then that’d be cool.

A good option would be to create a separate script folder for scripts that are meant to be run only occasionally or at some point in the future if that notification bothers you. Basically v0 uses the scripts folder in v0 for agent produced scripts that haven’t been run yet. For your own scripts you could call it local-scripts or something so you can separate it from v0 generated temp scripts.

As far as I am seeing for some reason, v0 is not able to detect if the scripts have already ran or not.

So, we will notify the team once. Currently, in my projects, I haven’t used anything related to the scripts, but yeah as @heystu will try it once, maybe he can shed more light into this.

In the meanwhile we will notify the team once.

That’s a great idea. Thanks Aaron. I’ll do that.

I guess I’d just duplicate the current project and then just ask for it to remove everything in the project except for the scripts because I want scripts in a seperate folder.

That’s perfect Avik, thank you.

I really appreciate how v0 keeps improving and the customer service stays A1.

Always there.

How did this suggestion go?

It’s been fixed. If I use the v0 app and start a new chat for my project it doesn’t try make me run all the scripts again :+1:

Lately I’ve been using v0 on a browser (Safari) because I noticed it lags less than the app. It’s only lagging because of my project size, but I don’t want to use a laptop for it (yet) so yeah..

I noticed you don’t seem to use your laptop for v0, and exclusively on mobile. That’s cool!

I have to say I see the same performance issue on my larger v0 projects, so will make sure team is aware. I’ve also had to default to the browser rather than the app.

Being able to build and operate an app just on an iPhone sounds so enticing to me, but if I’m in a private quiet room I’d prefer a laptop.

Hopefully when I get customers in the future I can still manage just relying on my iPhone but 1 step a time.
