Subdomain mis understanding by vercel when trying to add a domain

Hello, I am trying to connect my delegated domain kirkversary.qd.je to my project. Vercel is incorrectly asking for a TXT record at _vercel.qd.je for cross-account verification. I do not own the parent qd.je zone, only the delegated kirkversary.qd.je zone. My DNS is correctly configured and the ownership TXT record is publicly resolvable at _vercel.kirkversary.qd.je. Please manually verify and claim this domain for my Vercel project.
