Hi Vercel Support,
I'm on the Hobby plan for my team less58's projects and have a few questions about how my Edge Requests quota is being tracked.
Timeline:
- I was on the Hobby plan and received a notification that I had hit 100% of my Edge Requests quota (1,000,000 requests).
- I upgraded to Pro to resolve this.
- I identified and fixed the root cause (an inefficient Middleware configuration causing excessive Edge Requests).
- I then downgraded back to the Hobby plan.
- After downgrading, I'm still seeing a notification that I've exceeded my quota (currently showing 1,004,768 / 1,000,000 Edge Requests).
My questions:
- When exactly does my Edge Requests quota reset each month? Is it based on a fixed billing-cycle date, or something else?
- Does switching from Hobby → Pro → Hobby mid-cycle reset or otherwise affect the usage counter, or does it just keep accumulating across the whole cycle regardless of plan changes?
- Since I already fixed the underlying issue (reduced Middleware-triggered requests), will my usage count reset before my next full cycle, or do I need to wait for the current cycle to end?
- Is there a risk of my project being paused for exceeding the Hobby quota, given that I already exceeded it before switching plans? If so, how can I avoid that or resolve it now?
Could you clarify the exact reset date for my current cycle, and confirm whether my recent plan changes have any impact on it?
Thanks for your help!
