The new v0 editor is driving me insane: auto-clearing code, Diff not working.....

I’m honestly exhausted by the new v0 editor.

First, it keeps randomly clearing my code after switching files. Sometimes when I open a different file, it doesn’t open in a new tab, so I think I’m editing the current file — but then the previous file gets wiped out. This has already caused me to lose changes multiple times, and it’s seriously affecting my work.

Second, the Diff feature is extremely unreliable. Most of the time it shows no differences at all. I have to constantly refresh the page or switch between files over and over, and only occasionally does it decide to show the actual diff. It’s basically unusable.

I’m really fed up with this new editor. Please consider bringing back the old one — at least it was stable and didn’t randomly eat my code. At this point, I seriously question whether your QA team performed any performance testing or UAT at all.

Sorry for the trouble you are having with the new editor. Just asking some question:

  1. Is it happening for all the projects in your end small, medium and large?
  2. Since when are you facing this issue?

In the meanwhile we will notify the team once.

It has nothing to do with the project size.

  • The issue with the Diff not displaying has existed ever since the editor was upgraded to the new version.
  • While the code-clearing problem has only appeared recently. I was just able to reproduce the code being cleared even in a very small project.

The issue of clearing has not been encountered recently, but the problem of files not opening in a new tab is still recurring.
