Transfer client project from my account to client account

I built a project on v0 for my customer, and he loves it. I wanted to move the billing to his own account. I deployed the project through GitHub on his Vercel environment, but I am not able to move the v0 editing capabilities to his billing as well.

The goal here is not to consume my own credits when he needs to edit anything on the website. He should have the same capability of editing the website from his own account, but instead he’s always asking me to make the changes.

How can I move the project in full to his own account, not just deployment? When I use transfer project - this doesn’t work since it not showing the team or user in the dropdown.

This is an absolutely key requirement, allowing client access to make basic design changes - text / images, and/or AI changes, but probably not recommended as the whole design could break.

V0 team need to consider carefully how this works, take an example from client access in WordPress via the excellent Page Builder Breakdance, Client Mode: Client Mode - Settings Documentation | Breakdance

Hi, I still haven’t received an answer on this. What’s the proper process if I want to fully transfer a website to a client’s ownership?

With WordPress, it’s simple—you can deploy an instance to new hosting and the client can manage everything themselves. But with V0, it feels different: the developer has to stay involved to make any future changes, and the client still depends on my account even after I deploy a new Vercel instance.

The issue is that I can’t just hand over my account, since I have many other projects on it. How do I completely transfer ownership so the client can manage and pay for their project independently?

With Wordpress you just create a user for them - page builders like Breakdance have a Client Mode, which means they can’t break design, just make basic changes. V0 needs this, after they fix the state of V0.

I disagree. If you do wordpress work for customer. You either setup everything in their infrastructure from ground up or you have an option to do it on your infra and then deploy to theirs. With v0 you don’t have this second option available.
