Have you added a payment method yet? If you don’t have a payment method set up, you will revert to Hobby automatically when your trial is over.
If you already have a payment method set up, removing it will prevent your account from upgrading
I have added a payment method, and it won’t let me remove it because I need at least “one payment method”
This is incredibly frustrating. I don’t understand why cancelling a free trial is a multi-day endeavor. I can see from past post histories that multiple people have had the same issue for months, yet no fix has been added. If squeezing out an extra $20 from a disgruntled customer is really that important for your company at the expense of horrible UX and increased chargebacks, I really don’t have hope for the future of Vercel.
Ah thank you for raising this, we only intend to block removing payment methods when you have an active paid plan, but the new Pro trial launched recently is being treated as a paid plan and blocking you
I’ve confirmed this internally and it will be fixed. If you end up with a charge, you can get it refunded at Billing Help which most of the time is completely automated for recent charges
Hey @znitrutcher2005-6607. Just checked your plan, and it looks like you were able to downgrade from the Pro Trial back to the Hobby plan. I don’t see any charges, just a $0 invoice for the trial. But please let me know if there’s something I missed so we can set it right.
