Unable to use free hobby plan - please help

Hello!
I’m unable to create or access a Hobby team/workspace on Vercel.
Whenever I try to create a new project or open the dashboard, I get redirected to:

and face 404 mistake.

I connected my GitHub account successfully and imported my repository, but Vercel requires creating a team and only shows a Pro Trial flow with billing information.
I would like to use the free Hobby plan for a personal React/Vite project.
Additionally:

  • I am logged into my Vercel account
  • My GitHub account is connected
  • My repository is public
  • I still cannot create a free Hobby workspace/team
  • The support form also does not recognize my account correctly even while logged in
    Could you please help restore access to a normal Hobby account/workspace so I can deploy my project for free?

I have exactly the same problem, just getting redirected to a 404 message on /account/no-team when I try to reach the dashboard. I also can’t go through the support form because it insists I choose an account from a dropdown which is empty, and trying to start a project from a github repo sends me into a pro checkout.

I have the same issue. Get the 404 error. I also can subscribe for team subscription. Lots going on=)

Hi everyone,

I just created my account on Vercel and I’m already running into two issues before even getting started.

Issue 1 — Dashboard showing 404
After logging in, I get a 404 error page instead of my dashboard. I haven’t imported any project from GitHub yet, so there’s nothing deployed. My account email is leonfacundoezequiel@gmail.com. Not sure if the 404 is expected for a brand new account with no projects, or if something is broken on my end.

Issue 2 — Hobby plan not available
I signed up expecting to use the free Hobby plan, but the platform seems to be pushing me toward a paid plan. I don’t see a way to continue with Hobby without entering payment details.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a step I’m missing to get the dashboard working and activate the free plan?

Having the same issue. Find it quite amazing that they seem to want to provide a free hobby tier to get developers interested and try it out but then not fix an issue this severe (literally the first impression I have of this product is I cannot use it) and let it sit for more than a week. Crazy. ngmi

What’s the ETA on a fix?

The engineering team explained to me that the problem is a bit trickier than I previously imagined. So we’re taking the time to run more tests and do extra investigation to make sure the proposed solution fully solves the problem and doesn’t break anything else.
