Urgent Account Recovery Request: Permanent Loss of Device-Bound Passkey (WebAuthn / TPM Isolation)

Hello Vercel Support Team,

I am writing to request urgent account recovery assistance for my Vercel account, as I am completely locked out of my dashboard and my development pipeline is currently at a standstill.

Technical Context of the Issue:

My account is secured via a WebAuthn Passkey. Recently, I performed a local OS profile migration on my machine, changing the primary ownership and assigning a new administrator email to my Windows account.

Because Windows Hello passkeys are device-bound credentials cryptographically tied to a specific local user profile container inside the TPM (Trusted Platform Module), this migration permanently severed the bridge to the stored key. The passkey is now completely orphaned and cryptographically inaccessible from my new local admin context.

When attempting to authenticate on Vercel, the native Windows Security UI fails to discover the local platform authenticator and defaults entirely to cross-device prompts (mobile QR/USB security keys), which I do not have configured for this account.

Requested Action:

Because the hardware-bound credential is permanently unrecoverable, standard browser troubleshooting will not resolve this. I kindly request that your security team review my previously submitted recovery appeal and perform one of the following actions to restore my access:

  1. Issue a verified, one-time magic login link to my registered email address so I can access the dashboard.

  2. Temporarily disable or reset the Passkey/MFA requirement on the backend so I can log in via email/password and immediately re-register a new, valid authentication method.

Please let me know what further verification or documentation you require from my end to confirm my identity and expedite this process.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
