Hi, after prompting in v0, the generated response deletes the unchanged files from the codebase. Also, the toggle diff view option does not show any differences. Please help to assist. Thank you.

Can you share more about the prompt you gave and what files were deleted?
Also, can you add a screenshot of the issue with toggle diff feature?
Hi @anshumanb , it’s happening regardless of the prompt I give. It removes all the unchanged files from the File Explorer. Please see the attached screenshots of the original files in the File Explorer versus after doing the prompt.

Also, if you could share the chatID (ensure it’s private) so we can investigate further.

If I understand this correctly, you made a v0 chat and project. Then you made a GitHub repository for it. Then you pushed your custom code to the GitHub repository and after that v0 started removing the files. Correct?
Or is there a different way you used to import your GitHub repository into v0?
That’s correct @anshumanb . But all our chats have been working since we created the project 6 months ago. v0 started removing the files after every prompt this month. We’re not sure what has been changed/released from v0.

Hi @farrah-2858, thanks for sharing information. The chat you shared seems recent (Jan 2026), is it linked to the project you mentioned is 6 months ago? Can you share the steps you used to import this GitHub repo into v0? Was this repo made with v0?
In the meantime, I’m working with our team to understand this issue.
