V0 Stops during longer chats

This issue has been occurring repeatedly. When v0 attempts to fix one or more files, it begins the process, partially edits the files, and then stops without completing the task. My assumption is that v0 either cannot resolve the issue or the context window becomes too large, causing the model to lose track of the state, corrupt files, and end up terminating

I’ve been experiencing this problem for about a year and it has never been resolved. It happens most often when v0 is asked to fix larger or multi file problems in this case updating my Next.js params for Next.js 16, which changed parameter handling for security reasons.

The main problem is that these generations consume a significant amount of credits, but v0 fails to complete the task and produces no working fix. And the incomplete generation corrupts the active version, requiring me to revert or duplicate the project to recover it.

I’ve attached screenshots showing the issue happening in real time, along with the prompt that v0 has repeatedly failed to finish. (Would love a freebie of credits as you can see my statements aren’t cheap and v0 has done nothing but waste my credits)

Thanks for reporting, the team is digging into this

As the project grows v0 has to search through more files to find what it’s looking for, which eventually consumes the context window and gives less space to focus on the task at hand. With exceptionally large projects it leaves less room than required to function, which is an issue we need to work around

We’ll try to get this all sorted out, thanks for your patience
