It is hard to fathom how such a great product can nose dive faster than a meme coin. Did the accounting department create this “upgrade” to burn our “now limited tokens” in the first week? I love seeing “your right, let me fix that” as it gulps down more tokens to fix something unrelated to your request. Only to not fix it, and I end up restoring to the prior version. Also, the pricing for input/output seems aggressive. I feel like I am vibe coding on 10x leverage at this point. I don’t see a path where this model is sustainable for me to continue using the product in the current form.
I just checked my billing history from tonight, a simple question regarding a font showing on desktop but not on mobile devices cost me $2.69. No code changes, just a reply from v0 about caching Issues, older devices, data saving mode, network conditions, and chrome debugging tools. Should I download the code to a zip file, upload it into chatgpt and ask it simple questions when something looks off? That seems pretty counter intuitive.
Highly agree. Disastrous decline - it was amazing, now it’s near-fraud.
So much disappointed! This new pricing sounds like a scam!
i just abuse v0 as much as i can instead of buying creds now, its been terrible since the new update, its fairly easy to get more n reset the creds in v0
I use v0 frequently. With experience, I’ve understood how to optimise v0 so I minimise the risk and maximise efficiency. The more you use it the more you know what to do and what not to do.
For example, what I’ve learnt is tackle 1 problem at a time. Instead of “fix X and change Y and remove Z’, just send “fix X”. It seems it’s bad at multi tasking but great at fixing a single issue.
If your tokens are lowering quicker than usual, change it from ‘medium’ to ‘small’. It’s on the left side of the message box.
If you only ask it to fix 1 issue at a time, ‘small’ has worked incredible for me. In fact, it’s probably worked better than ‘medium’ or ‘large’.
‘Small’ chews way less tokens than ‘medium’. They added ‘small’ recently so test using it.
But overall I’d be very disappointed if v0 vanished because I genuinely think it’s the only option for iPhone users as far as I’m aware.
(v0 team please keep it going)
But yeah, make the message your sending be as simple as possible. Imagine like your talking to a genius little kid. It knows how to code better than most devs but can’t understand it not bothered if you ask for too much.
