Vercel AI Chat - Which AI Model IS IT?

I recently spent 2 hours working on a REACT/VERCEL problem which prevented my website pages from being accessed directly by URL and from being able to Browser Refresh the page. Both methods would result in a blank page! With the Vercel AI Chat, we worked step by step to isolate the true cause of the problem, which was quite complicated. We finally isolated the problem to CSS loading issue! I had previously worked with my Tempo Labs - Claude Sonnet AI, for months, but we could never find the problem. But the Vercel AI Chat was very focused and worked logically to work from top down to the final solution! This was the best AI I have seen in action, at least from a REACT programming perspective. In my Application, I use Claude, OpenAI and Gemini to create Analysis Reports. But I have been so impressed with the Vercel AI Chat that I would like to use this AI Version in my Application! My question is: What is the AI Provider and Version of this AI so I can incorporate it into my business? I am not asking to be able to use Vercel’s AI SDK which gives you access to 50 different AI versions but what is the Vercel AI Chat, it is terrific!

To answer your question: v0 doesn’t use a single model in the backend but it is a combination of proprietary + frontier models. Our team keeps evaluating, improving, and adapting models for the best product efficiency, so it’s hard to pin point one particular model.

The question I still would ask, what is the AI Model used for Customer Support through AI Chat? Is it v0-1.5-md or is it something else?

Again, the answer is same proprietary + frontier models. We keep changing models between Anthropic family and Gemini 2.5 family.

I’ve used v0-1.5-md model a lot in the domain of Vercel Community, similar to the AI Chat you see and I can vouch for it.
