Vercel and V0 chat plans are different

After running out of credits with v0 I had to upgrade.
I didn’t want to lose my conversation so I opened another page and upgraded my Vercel plan. I found it rather rude to find out that Chat was not included in that. No warning about that.

I was also annoyed to find that cancelling my Vercel plan would result in the immediate loss of the ‘privileges’ of that plan. No winding it down here - even Netflix and Disney do better.
The core complaint there is no perceived value for money spent when cancelling your plan. What happens when downgrading from a much higher plan to a lower (but not free) plan. Lose all your privileges that you have paid good money for…that’s just rude.
You could micromanage the billing cycle and cancel just before the new payment is due, but you have far better things to be doing.

I’ve come in at hobby level to try things out, as I’m sure other customers would do to test the waters, and I’m using the v0 AI…and this is my rude billing awakening. Surely Vercel could have eased me into that better. I’m now put off to sign up with Vercel.

Hi there!

We hear your frustration with the billing structure. You’re right that v0 and Vercel have separate billing plans - v0 has its own subscription for AI chat features, while Vercel’s platform plans cover hosting and deployment services.

We’ll pass this onto our team as feedback.

Let us know if we can help with anything else!

Can someone drop me a line pls - I got an email this morning saying my payment to Vercel is due.
No it’s not. I paid Vercel by mistake, cancelled it immediately, paid v0 chat as well. and on top of that I’m on a free plan.
Can’t easily find subscriptions, can’t remove my card - which is rude, perhaps I don’t want to pay again.
Feel free to get rid of this and hey through in a refund as well for Vercel which I never used
