Hello Vercel Community,
I'm reporting a selective connectivity issue affecting Vercel Anycast IP addresses from Claro Brazil (AS28573).
Environment:
- Production domain: www.giromicro.com.br
- ISP: Claro Brazil (AS28573)
- Region: São Paulo, Brazil
- Date: October 26, 2026
Problem:
My production website cannot be accessed through my Claro fixed broadband connection. HTTPS requests time out.
However, the website works correctly through mobile data and its Vercel deployment URL. The problem also occurs on multiple devices connected to the same broadband network.
Official Vercel diagnostic results:
I executed the official vercel-connect-debug PowerShell script.
Failed HTTPS connections:
216.198.79.1216.198.79.65
Successful HTTPS connections (HTTP 200):
216.198.79.129216.198.79.19364.29.17.164.29.17.6564.29.17.12964.29.17.193
Google DNS resolves the production domain to 216.198.79.1.
The traceroute reaches Claro network routers, with the last responding hop at 189.34.185.128. Subsequent hops do not respond. This does not conclusively identify where the routing issue occurs.
Additional findings:
- Vercel dashboard reports valid domain configuration.
- The website works over mobile data.
- Alternative Vercel IPs respond successfully.
- A temporary local hosts-file override to
76.76.21.21restores access on the affected computer. - No public DNS changes have been made.
Questions:
- Has anyone experienced similar reachability issues with Vercel Anycast IPs from Claro Brazil?
- Could a Vercel engineer investigate possible routing or peering anomalies affecting these addresses?
- Is there an officially supported mitigation while the underlying connectivity issue is investigated?
Vercel Support recommended reporting these findings here because CDN/Edge Network technical tickets are unavailable on the Hobby plan.
Thank you.
