Vercel custom domain linked to another account despite DNS verification

Problem

I have a custom domain connected to Vercel DNS correctly, including the required TXT verification record, but Vercel still says the domain is linked to another account/team.

Current Status

• The domain points to 76.76.21.21 and the verification TXT record is publicly visible.
• The domain currently resolves to Vercel but returns an error because the old ownership claim still exists:

Error: DEPLOYMENT_NOT_FOUND

I do not have access to the old team/account. Support AI pointed me to a team URL, but it returns 404 for my current account.

How can I get this domain manually released by Vercel staff?

I see only one project and no domains attached to your current account, is there any chance you made a second account by mistake and that’s where your domain is? The most common way this happens is signing in via email one time and then via github another time
