Vercel deployment blocked because commit author lacks contributing access

Problem

Vercel deployments are being blocked with a “Deployment Blocked” error, even though the user appears to be a member of the team.

Error Messages

Error: [email] is already a member of this team.

Deployment Blocked: The Deployment was blocked because the commit author does not have contributing access to the project on Vercel.

If the user is part of the team, this should work. Can you confirm if they have their GitHub account linked with their Vercel account? They can check it from the Vercel Dashboard: Account > Settings > Authentication > GitHub.
