Vercel domain in use by another account error despite TXT verification

Hi Vercel Team,

I need help releasing the domain knowitedu.com from Vercel’s system.

Situation:

  • The domain was previously linked to an old Vercel account

  • It was deleted from that account, but Vercel still shows it as “in use by another account”

  • I’ve added the TXT verification record at _vercel.knowitedu.com over 15+ hours ago

  • The domain claim process is not working despite correct TXT records being in place

What I’ve tried:

  • Added TXT records for domain verification (15+ hours ago)

  • Attempted the self-serve domain claim process

  • Waited for DNS propagation

Request: Could someone from the Vercel team please manually release this domain so I can add it to my current account?

  • Can you run dig TXT _vercel.knowitedu.com and share the output to confirm the TXT record is properly set?
  • Are you using Vercel’s nameservers (ns1/ns2.vercel-dns.com) or external DNS?
  • Do you recognize the previous account that owned this domain?
