Hello, I have a website hosted on Vercel. I need to move the website to squarespace due to internal decision that the executives wanted to update the website without going through software team members. During my effort to move the domain to squarespace, squarespace required the domain to be unlocked and provide an authorization code. However, natively, Vercel domains are not locked which is great. However, in the process of aquiring authorization code, I have found that my domain on Vercel says invalid configuration. I investigated more into this issue and it says the domain is third party. I moved the domain to belong to my project so I can check Learn more tab. It says I need to update the domain’s nameserver to enable Vercel domain. However, when I check my domains page, it says This domain is registered with a Third Party. and does not allow me to add name servers while the name servers names’ clearly suggests this domain is registered with Vercel.
Is this a bug? How should I add name servers when the domain is not acknowledged as registered with Vercel while it is?
The domain troubleshooting guide can help with most custom domain configuration issues. You might be able to use that guide to solve it before a human is available to help you. Then you can come back here and share the answer for bonus points.
You can also use v0 to narrow down the possibilities.
