Observed on 10 September 2026 using the connected Vercel app in Codex desktop on macOS, with a Vercel Hobby team.
Read-only reproduction with verified team/project identifiers:
- list_teams returns {"teams":[]}.
- list_projects with the team ID returns "Failed to list projects."
- get_project returns 403 Forbidden with exact IDs and with team/project slugs.
- get_runtime_logs also returns 403 Forbidden.
The authenticated Vercel dashboard can access the project, configuration and logs. Account Settings > Sign in with Vercel shows an active ChatGPT connection owned by Vercel MCP, recently used. Displayed permissions include reading team data and access to authorized projects/deployments. Reconnecting the app did not resolve this.
Expected: authorized teams/projects and logs are readable through the connector. Actual: empty team enumeration and 403 errors. Production remains operational; the browser is a workaround for audit/observability.
Could the Vercel MCP team investigate the effective authorization/resource scope or advise how to distinguish a grant issue from stale connector credentials? The root cause is not established. No secrets, account/project identifiers or raw logs are included. Please provide a private channel for account-specific diagnostics. Vercel Support directed MCP beta issues to this community.
